Zoo Trip with some Beginning Art Students

My son and I, along with several of my Beginning Art students, from the Lancaster Learning Link, did a lot of gesture drawing (here's a video that explains gesture drawing, if you're curious) at the Lincoln Children's Zoo last week. It was perfect weather out, not too hot and not too cold, and the animals are always extra fascinating when you're trying to capture their movement and form on paper.

There were penguins, tortoises, meerkats, snakes, oh, my!!!
